Author Guidelines

Here is a guide for aspiring writers:

  1. Articles consist of title, author names, affiliations and abstract, keywords, introduction, methodology, results and discussion, conclusion, and bibliography.
  2. Manuscripts must be in Indonesian or English.
  3. Articles may be based on conceptual or empirical research findings. Articles should address issues of international/global concern and interest. Issues may speak to and address local contexts but must have significance for broader regional, global, and collective interests.
  4. The content of a research paper should include an introduction (problem, research questions, research objectives and theories), methodology, findings, discussion, and conclusions and recommendations.
  5. Articles must be original manuscripts and free from plagiarism and must first be checked using the Plagiarism Checker X or Turnitin application or similar.
  6. Articles must be above 4000-5000 words with specified paper size and margins.
  7. All manuscripts will be reviewed by academic reviewers who are qualified in the field; this is a process that may take weeks or months.
  8. Manuscripts may be styled before publication. Authors must follow the internal style of Khazanah: Journal of Islamic Studies (download TEMPLATE).
  9. Authors must be willing to respond to questions from reviewers of their articles. The Editorial Board of Tazkiyyah: Journal of Islamic Education appreciates your patience and persistence while your manuscript is being processed and reviewed. Attitudes that show impatience and anxiety will not be entertained.
  10. References (Endnotes and references) follow the American Psychological Association (APA) format. References are sourced from books and articles of accredited national journals, especially well-known international journals. (We also require authors to use Mendeley reference management.
  11. Articles are processed for 7-10 weeks until published.
